First teased in 2011 as a sample from the Air JD Blackout Collection . the Air JD 11 Retro ‘Cap and Gown’ was finally made available to the public in 2018. The name refers its formal look . designed to be worn for occasions such as graduation ceremonies—its laces are even inspired by graduation cords. The all-black model features a patent leather and premium nubuck upper atop an icy blue outsole.
